An engineer in his early years followed by film producer, now artist, John lives and paints in Suffolk. Inspired by Suffolk’s landscape, seascapes and huge skies, John draws from his surroundings to capture unhurried, simple moods, reflecting on the slower pace of life.   

His painting of EDLEI’s END, now laid up on the River Stour, and last of the Sienne fishing design, won him first prize (in fact his only prize) at The Old Bank Studios in Harwich.

Along with creating wooden toys for his grandchildren, Indy, Gigi, Max and Olive, John is hastily painting their most loved toys before they fall victim to time.
